thence a Bay Mare which his Brother Robert Rode on Down to Birmingham and that

night to a Field by Limehouse church
and took from thence anor: Bay Mare which He
this examinant Rode down on to Birmingham (for which Place he this examinant
and his Brother set out for on Fryday afternoon last) And further this examinant
says that he and his Brother

Stopt a Man on the Road by Mims Wash
about 7 or 8 o'Clock the same night this examinant Presented a loaded Pistol to the sd
Man but the Bridge
of his this examinant Horse Breaking Prevented his Robbing the
ManAnd further this examinant says that he and his Brother came to
Birmingham on Monday morning last and which Place they both left on Tuesday
morning and set out for Coventry That coming on the Road upon a Common on the sd
Road about 10 Miles from Birmingham he this examinant met an Elderly Gentleman
on a Poney whom this examinant bid Stand and Presented his loaded Pistol (which
said Pistol is now produced) but the Gentlenman's Horse giving way this examinant
Rode off for Coventry, That before they left Birmingham this examinant and his
Brother Changed Horses that the Mare which was found in his Custody was the Mare
Stolen from the Field opposite Borncrofts Hospital Both the aforesd: Mares when
Stolen where taken to a Stable of this Informants Brother And Further this Examint.
saith that both of the Mares had Switch Tails but were cut by his Brother Robert In
order to disfigure themAnd this examinant saith that on Sunday last before
they left town he this examinant and his Brother in the Absence of their Father went
up into a Closet in the Dwelling house of their said Father facing the Infirmary White
Chappel
and took form thence a Pocket Book containing several Promissery Notes
