for the said County.taken on Oath the 27th. of
February 1766
This Information saith Thatlast Nightbeing in Bed at his Masters
House the Crown and Cushion aforesaid This Morning about
One of the Clock he was Called upon By a Fellow Servant
and to his that they had taken a Nick pockett That he this
Informant lay about half an Hour and upon reflection
Get up and felt in his Breeches Pocketts and missed three Guineas
and an half in Gold and about Two Shillings in Silver
upon which her Dressed himself and Came Down Stairs into
the Taproom and found they had a Person in Custody who
calls himself by the name of Philip Griffith< no role >
Thatthehe Charged
and upon searching him he found none (Egentonly a few Half pences) upon which he
This formt and his fellow Servants Went up Stairs into The

Lodged and thereupon
Looking under the Bed they found three Guineas and an half
That upon coming down stairs her Charged the said Griffith
with Stealing the same But he Possitably Denyed it or of
haveing any Money That upon Searching some Hay in the
Stable he found one Shilling and six Pences
