The Information of Thomas Hargroves< no role > Horse keeper to Mr William
Turner
< no role > of Highwysembe in the County of Bucks now Implored by him
to take care of his Horses in the Horses of Mr Kerry was well Crown and Cushion Iron in
Uxbridge in the said County of Middx taken an Oath before me
Abel, Albridge< no role > Esqr. one of his Majesty's Justices of the Pence of
the said County the 27th day of February 1766

This Informant Saith That between Roelads and one of the Clock
this Morning as he was a Bed at the House of the said Mr Rowswell< no role >
in Uxbridge aforesaid he felt Some person takeing his Breeches
from under his head that he Imediately laid hold of the said
person and Gave the Gardner of the said Mr Rowswell who was
then in Bed with this Informant hold of the Hand of the said
Person and Desired him to hold him until he Stroke a light and
then he Secured the said Person and kept him in Custody until
Day light and so soon as Possible Charged the Constable of
Uxbridge with him and That her Declared his name to be
Philip Griffith< no role > That until he wuld Get a Constable he secured
the said Griffith in< no role > one of Mr Rowswells Stables and after he was
Gone Did find amongst the Hay he laid on there one Shilling
and Six Pences

And This Informant further Saith Thatheupon his Takeing the
abovenamed Philip Griffith< no role > he called upon Thomas Greenwood< no role > the
Waiter at the Crown and Cushion who Lodged Some Distances from the
Room where he lay That said Greenwood Sometime after came
Down Stairs into the Taproom where said Griffith was in Custody
upon which they went to the Room where This Informant had been in
Bed as above related and under the Bed they Found three Gunieas and
an half
