The Several lnformations of Thos. Truelove< no role > Thos.
Holloway
< no role > and Mathew Jenkinson< no role > Severally
taken before me one of His Majestys Justices
of the Peace for the County aforesaid

Who being Severally upon Oath say and first
the said Thos. Truelove< no role > and Thos Holloway< no role > for themselves
say that on Sunday Morning last about four o'Clock
these Informants Stopped a person now present who
Calls himself John Greaghan< no role > in the Strand , and the
Sd. Greaghan then had upon his Back a quantity
of Lead [..] & upon being questioned
by these Informts:beingwho are Watchmen, the Sd: Greaghan
said that he was about his Masters business, and then
said that he was employed by a man to Carry the said
Lead to Covent Garden for three time or Words to that effect: and
these Informts: say that the said Greaghan went
over to the other side of the Way in order as these
Informts: believe to avoid them. And the said Math:
Jenkinson
< no role > for himself says that on Saturday last a lead
Gutter belonging to the Premises of his Master Mr Jas:
Deval
< no role > in Scotland Yard was Safe upon the said Premises,
but upon examining the said premises this day, the
Sd: Lead Gutter is gone, being by violence torn from
the Sd: Premises. And this Informt: says that he has
Compared the Sd: Piece of Lead taken upon the said
Greaghan and it exactly fits the place the sd Lead
Gutter was Stolen from in all Respects, and says that
he this Informt: is certain that the Sd: Price of Lead
was Stolen from the Gutter of the Sd: Premises.
