The Information of John Duncomb< no role > taken before
me one of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the said
County.

Who being upon Oath saith that on
Wensday last [..] about Eight o Clock in the Evening this
Informant and Charles Mead< no role > agreed to Steal Iron & Lead
from the premises of Peter Roe< no role > of Islington and this
Informant and the Sd. Mead did the Same Evening Steal
a Parcell of Iron and part of a Lead pipe from the said
Pods and this Informant and the said Mead Carried,
the said Iron and Lead the same Evening to the Shop of one Robt Thirtle< no role >
in Old Street and the said Mead put the Iron into a
pair of Scales which Iron Weighed twenty four pounds and
the said Thirtle paid Mead for it at the rate of three
farthings a pound and asked the sd: Mead no questions
how he came by it but upon the sd: Meads offering
the Sd Lead Pipe Thirtle asked the sd: Mead how he
came by it when the sd Mead told him that he was
employed to pull down some Houses by which means
he got the said Lead and Iron or Words to that Effect
and then the said Thirtle Weighed the Lead which
was twelve pounds and paid the sd: Mead one Shilling
for it, and afterwards the Sd: Thirtle called the said
Mead Little Rogue (as this Informt: beleives from
the Stature of the said Mead who is a little man) and
said I have bought things of you several times before
this but if you bring any more Lead in this Condition
I will not buy it for this appears to be taken from
a Water pipe or words to that effect
