The free and voluntary Examination
and Confession of Robert Davis< no role > of the
Parish of Saint Johns Evangelist in the
City and Liberty of Westminster in the
County of Middx, Lighterman, taken before
me one of his Majestys Justices of the
Peace for the said County this Sixth
day of March 1758.

This Examinant voluntaryly confesseth and sayth that
on Saturday night last he feloniously state from the horse
ferry at Westminster a Boat the Property of John Price< no role >
of Westminster Lighterman , and that he came down the
River as far as Wapping Dock and did then and there
feloniously steal out of two Lighters a Quantity of Coals
(about Seven Bushels) the Property of Persons unknown,
