already Erected therefore the Mouth of a Drain or in any other-
incommodious Heighth the Execution of such Scheme will not
only Dismantle and Destroy great part of the said Hospital; But
the Charge of raising and altering the Residue thereof conformable
to such intended Plan will be extremely great for if such New
Street is carried in the Direction and to the Heighth proposed or
any other Inconvenient Heighth the whole Hospital must be
over flowed and rendered an unwholesome Sink unfit for Habitation
or raised on a Level with such intended New Street & The Charity
will be stript and Dispossest of most part of the Outer Court & Buildings
absolutely necessary for the different purposes of the Charity & what
remains of that Court will be left disfigured Irregular & confused-
And in Case the Hospital is to be on a Level with the new intended
Street, the same must be raised at least Six Feet above the Level
of the Passage leading into the Inner Court which cannot be
done without blocking up the lower Appartments in the
Quadrangle and Outer Court and rendring the same useless
And the Arches leading to the Chaple and Inner Court will also
be blocked up and therefore must be taken down & rebuilt to
gain a New Passage into the Court & Chaple which will Endanger
the Buildings and Destroy the Appartments over & adjoining to
the same

And I further Certify that I have made an Estimate of
the Value of the Buildings proposed to be taken down respectively
and of the Lands intended to be taken from the sd. Hospital in
Case the sd. Scheme should be attempted to be carried into Execution

£ s

And I find that the Dimensions of the North-
Wing of the Outer Court of the sd. Hospital proposed
to be taken down are 50 Feet 4 Inches by 37 Feet
and Contain 1862 Ft..4 Inches.. and amounts after the-
Rate of £120 P Square (the Value of the Fee-
in the Lands wherein those Buildings stand to the-
Sum of
2234..13..-

And I further Certify and am of Opinion
that of the Buildings between the North Wing & the East
Gate of the Hospital are new fronted with Brick
and other necessary Repairs done the Expence-
whereof will not exceed £200 the same will
then stand 40 Years and may be let at a-
Neat Rent of £40 P Annum and after
Deducting the Yearly Interest of the £200
so laid out in Repairs the Interest of
the Hospital including the Value of the
Ground will be worth
615..5..-
