Upon Reading a Report from the Grand Comittee of Bethlem
Hospital dated 26th. Janry 1754 under the hands of Robert Alsop< no role > Esq.
Aldn. Trear. Mr. Calvert Benn< no role > , Mr. John Forty< no role > , Richard Roman< no role > Esqr.
Mr. Philip Bromfield< no role > , John Lock< no role > Esqr. Mr. Wm. Kindleside< no role > Mr.
Deputy Nash, Mr. Robert Elliott< no role > Mr. Saml Seawell< no role > & Dr. Richard

< no role > as follows ViztIt is the Unanimous Opinion of
this Comittee that it would be much for the benefit of this Hospital
that a Carpenter be Constantly kept in the House to do the jobbing Work
All which is Nevertheless Submitted to the Judgment of the Court
This Court having duly Weighed & considered the sd. Report
doth Confirm the same And referr it to the same Comittee to
employ & Agree with such Person as they shall think proper to do the said
Jobbing Work,

Upon Reading the humble Petition of John Ittery< no role > one of
the Artsmasters as follows ViztThat the Petr has lately reced
an Order of Court Signed by Joseph Taylor< no role > Esqr . wherein among other
things it is set forth That he is not thought a Proper Person to be
Continued an Artsmaster & therefore he is Ordered forthwith to quit
his AppartmentThat the Petr. has had the Honour to be one
of the Governors Artsmasters for 25 years past & is very near 70 Years
of Age & having a Complication of Distembers upon him for 11 Years
past, renders him intirely incapable of doing any Manner of Business
for his futher SubsistanceAnd praying the Governors to Grant
him such relief as they shall think fitThis Court doth Referr it to
the Comittee of this House to Consider the same And to report their
Opinion thereon to the Court.

after for Towkes Gift


Upon Reading the humble Petition of Thomas Robson< no role > Needle maker
Setting forth that he Served his Apprenticeship to Sutton Sharpe< no role > by
Indue dated that 13th. day of March 1746/7 and by Order of Court 11st. April 1754
was made free of his City & is set up for himself at Bryan Grds
Saloopman near Fleet bridge in Fleetstreet And praying same part of
Mr. Fowkes Gift Mr Richard Manby< no role > . Mr. Roger Altham< no role > and Mr. William
Hart
< no role > or any two of them are desired to Enquire wher. he be set up in his
said Trade & of his hopefullness therein And to Report to the Court.

At this Court Thomas Pigget< no role > was Order'd to be made free of this City who
Served his Apprenticeship to Samuel Geldart< no role > one of the Artsmasters by
Indre dated 2d. May 1747.
