Reported that in pursuance of an Order of Court the 11th. of April 1754
they had made Enquiry & found that

himself in his said Trade and has the Character of a Diligent and
Sober ManIt is Ordered that the Clerk do pay to the sd. James
Emery Ten Pounds out of Mr Fowkes Gift.

A Motion being made That in regard to the Extraordinary
Diligence of Mr.

the Porter
of this Hospital a Gratuity be
given him for his good Service for the time Pass't since the Court gave
him a Gratuity And the Sum of Twenty six pounds being now
Proposed and the Question there upon putIt is Ordered That
the Clerk do pay to the sd. Richard Pice Twenty Six Pounds as
a Gratuity for his said Services.
Workmen at Beth Ordr for
Affedts to there bills Repeatd
Upon Reading an Order of the Grand Comittee of Bethlem Hospt.
dated 8th. June 1732 That every Workman do Annex to each bill an
Affidavit that the Work & Materials therein Charged were done &
Provided to the best of his Knowledge & beliefIt is Ordered
that the sd. Order be Repealed.

Nusance, besides a Particular Damage to the Hospitals Tenants in the
Neighbourhood It is Ordered the sd. Steps be taken down And
the Comittee of this House are desired to take such Methods as they
shall think proper for that purpose
