Upon Reading the humble petition of Susannah Eliza. Henrietta
Ferrand
< no role > Widow Relict & Extrix of Daniel Ferrand< no role > late of London
Merchant deced & Joseph Waters< no role > of London Gentleman Setting forth
That the Governors at a Court 17th. Novr. 1749 were pleased to
Order a Lease with Usual Covenants between the Governors and their
Tenants to be made to the Petr. Ferrands sd. Husband of a House in
Lymestreet Square (No.4 ) then in the Occupation of Mr. Levy (and part
of the possions of Bethlem Hospital ) for 21 Years Determinable on Notice
one Year before the Expiration of the first 11 Years to Comence from
Xmas then next at £22 P Ann rent clear of Taxes & to pay a Fine
of £100 & lay out £80 in Necessary repairs According to an Estimate
then given & wch has since been done But the Petr. Ferrands
sd. Husband dyed before the sd. Lease was made having by his will made
the sd. Petr. susannah Residnary Legatee & Sole Extrix thereof who has
since proved the same in the Prerogative Court of ConterburyThat
the Petr. Susannah has Agreed with the Petr. Waters for the Remt. of the sd.
Term now to come at &under the same Rents & CovenantsAnd
praying the Governors will be pleased to Order the sd. Lease to be made
to the Petr. Waters for the Rent of the sd. Term now to comeThis
Court doth Order the sd. Lease be made to the Petr. Waters Accordingly.

Upon Reading a Report from the Comittee of this House dated
the 6st. day of Decr 1753 under the hands of Robert Alsop< no role > Esqr Aldn Trear
Mr. Edwd. Barwick< no role > Mr. Dep Nash, Mr. Robt. Elliott< no role > John Lock< no role > Esqr
Mr. Michl. Martindale< no role > & Mr Saml John< no role > , as follows Viz This Comittee
upon a Street Enguiry having found that William Edwards< no role > (late
Apprentice to James Smith< no role > Orrice Weaver ) behaved himself with
Exemplary Diligence & Sobriety during the whole time of his
Apprentices his are of Opinion he deverves Ten Pound of Mr. Fowk's
Gift (besides the Ten Pounds he has reced of Mr. Locks Gift by Order
of Court) And hope it will be an Inducement to other Apprentices in
this Hospital by a like behavior to recomend themselves to the Govrs.
for the like favors All which is Submitted to the Judgment of the Court
This Court haveing duly weighed & Considered the sd. Report doth
Confirm the same And Order that the Clerk do pay the sd. Wm. Edward
Ten pound out of Mr. Fowkes Gift.
