Friday 1st. October 1742.

paid £50. in further part of the Finebut he did not build a Granary and
we do not find that all the said repair were doneWee observed that in
taking the soyl out of the farm Yard some of the Ground had been carried away
from the outside of the foundation of the Stable and of part of the Barn, which
ought to be filled up again & part of the Barn wants Thatching, both which he
said he would do immediately

The Malthouse floor wants mending and the Upper floor should be lined there
feet and an half high and about One hundred feet in length and the Barn should
be new Weather boarded for which we are of Opinion to allow him One hundred and a
half of Deals whereof Twenty to be left whole to mend the Mallhouse floor and the
rest to be slit feather edg'd to line the sides of the Mallhouse and to Weatherbeard
the Barn

At the Dwelling house there wants a Strut in the Ganell to support the roof & in
the Valley of the roof there wants a Land Gutter Sixteen foot long and Eighteen Inches
wide to carry off the rain& there wants about four rolds of paling of the Gutter

Wee observed that the See has broke down the way (called the Eastgate ) for
carting Ouze from the Shore to manner the Land and a new way ought to be made for
that purposeThe Sea has also carried away part of the Land and the Ground
hange over & lyes hollow a great way that in some plans one may see there it which
ought to be posted and rouled in for the Security of Carriages and persons passing
that way which is now very dangerous

Mr. Evers says he has not been able to live upon the Farm but has spent great
part of his Substance since he has been in it the he and his Wife and two Sons
and two Daughter have taken great pains and lived very handThat he
intends to quit the Farm at Michas 1743. but that his eldest Son will take it if
the Governors please to do the abovementioned repair and grant him a Lease for
Twenty one years at £75. P ann without a fine

Evers to him a Lease

In regard the Sea which is still incroaching has carried away part of the [..]
& it seems to us to be the hardest bargain of any of year Tenants in that Court
Wee are of Opinion it is necessary to do the said repair & that it would be
proper to make a Lease to Mr. Evers Son at £75. P Ann without any fine
All which nevertheless is submitted to the Judgment of the CourtThis
Court having duly weighed & considered of the said Report doth confirm
the same.
