1st. Novr. 1717.

Apprentices none to be bound
without a Certificate of their Settlemt}


Ordered that for the future no Boy be bound apprentice in this
Hospital without a Certificate of his Settlement

Apprentices to be inrolled as
soon as bound}


Ordered that for the future when any Boy is bound apprentice
in this hospital one of the Beadles do imediately go with him
and the Indenture to ye Chamberlains office and see him Inrolled

Chappell Clerk. to have £10 p ann
Salary but no Gratuity}


Upon reading a Report from the Comee of this house under
the hands of John Tayler< no role > Esqr . Trear Mr William Lee< no role > , Col Geo:
Meggott
< no role > Mr Jno. Barber< no role > and Mr. Christr. Bateman< no role > bearing date ye
22d. day of Octor. Last in the words followingIn persuance
of an Order of Court of ye day of 11th. Octor. instant This Comee have
examined into ye Salary of Roger Gething< no role > one of ye Beadles and also
Chappel Clerke if this Hospital and do find it to be ye Same with ye
other Senior Beadle which is twelve pence P diem and that he
has also an allowance of three pounds Sixteen Shillings & Eight
pence P Annu as Sexton for ringing ye Bell and looking after ye
Clock But as Chappel Clerke he never had any allowance till abot.
Six years ago Since which time ye Court has been pleased upon his
annual Petition to give him a Gratuity of four pounds And in regard
he will be obliged for ye future to attend ye prayers in the Chappel on
Wednesdays frydays and Holydays more than he formerly did
This Comee are of Opinion to give him a Salary of Ten pounds
P Annu as Chappel Clerke but no Gratuity in that respect for
the future all which nevertheless is humbly Submitted to ye
Judgment of the CourtThis Court haveing duely weighed
and considered the said Report doth Confirme the same

in the words followingIn persuance of an Order of Court of ye 11th day
of Octor. instant This Comee have taken into consideration the Petition of
William Parker< no role > Esqr . praying that a Lease if 2 houses at Wapping which
was ordered to be made to Mr James peirce< no role > & him may be made to him alone ye.
sd. Mr. Peirce haveing agreed thereto as it appeares to this Comee by a Letter
under his hand This Comee are of Opinion that ye said Lease be
made to ye said Petitioner Solely upon wth. he gave ye Guiney to ye poors box which nevertheless is Submitted to ye
Judgmt. of ye. Court This Court doth Confirm the same And order
that ye said Lease be made to him accordingly
