That divers Years ago She bound herself apprentice by a Commence
Indenture to Thomas Coe< no role > of Eastsmithfield in the Parish of St
John Wapping in the County of Middlesex Victualler for the Term
of Seven Years to be instructed in the Business of housewife
That She Serves Six Years & Seven Months of her apprenticeship
with the said Thomas Coe< no role > in the same Parish and then Some difference
Arising between her and her Mistress She this Depont & the Said Thomas
Coe
< no role > her then Master by Mutual Consent Agrees to part And there
She this Depont. with the Said Thomas Coe< no role > 's Consent & in his Present
threw one Part of the Said Indies of apprenticeship into the fire & [..]
the Same & the Said Thomas Coe< no role > with this Deponts. Consent & in her
Presence threw the other Part of them into the Fire and Burnt the
Same And thereby (as it was then meant and understood by the
Depont. and her Master thesd. Thomas Coe< no role > ) intirely Cancelled or
Annitulates the Said Indentures and Put an end to this Depont
Said apprenticeship (this Depont. being then as She now recollects
of the Age of Twenty Years or there abouts) That is
Consequence of Such Transaction She this Depont. and also the
said Thomas Coe< no role > (as She believes) deemed this Depont from thenceforth
to be her own Mistress and at Liberty to go where She Pleased and
to Provide for herself in Such Manner as She Shod think Prop
That in Pursuance thereof She of her own Accord and with
the Consent Aid or interposition of the Said Thomas Coe< no role > then
hired herself to live as a hired Servant by the Year at Certain Year
Wages with one John Bennett< no role > of the Liberty of the Old Artiller
Ground in the Said County Victualler in Which Service She Cont [..]
for Five Months & no longer That She this Depont. entered into Su [..]
Contract & Service for her own Account & to receive Such Wages as [..]
had Agreed for to her own use & without any Account to be rendered
to the Said Thomas Coe< no role > for the Same That although this Depont
Since She left the Said Thomas Coe< no role > hath been hired & lived as a hired
Servant by the Year in divers Places Yet She never Continues for a year
in any one Service nor was She ever Married nor to her knowledge or
belief hath She done any Act to gain a Settlement Since her leaving the
Coe [..]
