Examination TextAnn Mitteler aged about 30 Years at the Workhouse passed from St Giles in the ffields Saith that she is the Wife of Wm Mitteler who has been from her six weeks and where he now is can't telt or by what means to find him out knoweth not, That she was married to him at the ffleet about nine Years agoe, Saith he is by trade he Shoemaker , that he was bound and Apprentice to one and Mr Bryan St Martins Lane query he Served some part of his time and then his Master removed to Bennets Court in the Strand , where he Servant and the remainder of the said Term which Expired about 3 qrs of a Year before Marriage she this said Ann Mitteler being a Servant to one Mr John Northcot the end of that Court two years during which time he the said Mr Bryan lived layer & Husband was then his Appren, Saith he never was a yearly hired Servant or Housekeeper, Rented £10 by the year or paid any Parochial Taxes to any Parish, hath two Children Ann aged about four Years & Mary about two Years.
