Examination TextElizabeth Moore aged 54 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields saith she is the widow of Joshua Moore (who has been dead about 18 years) to whom she was married at the Fleet about 31 years ago, that he served his time to Mr Whitechurch of Temple Street Bristol, Tobacco Cutter, which expired many years ago since which time he never kept house rented £10 by the year paid any parish taxes or been a yearly hired servant, that she this Examinant since his death was a yearly hired servant to Mr Kirkpatrick a Peruke Maker in Church Court in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of six years at the yearly wages of 5 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about three years ago and has never gained any subsequent settlement since. Sworn &c.
