Examination Text | Ann Wicks aged 25 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields saith she never was married kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant, that her father John Wicks was a Silk Dyer by trade and kept house in Castle Street in the said Parish of St Martin for many years at the yearly wages of 16 pounds besides taxes, where her said father dyed, which happened about 20 years ago and this Examinant has never gained any subsequent settlement since. March the 25th 1747 sworn this Day. |
