Examination TextSarah Gill aged about 39 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed as a vagrant from the Parish of St Andrew in the city of Worcester upon her oath saith she is the wife of Ferdinando Gill (who has been gone from her 15 weeks) to whom she was married at St Thomas's Church in the city of Bristol 16th Day of August in the year of our Lord 1747, that her said husband hath informed this Examinant that he lived in and rented an house known by the sign of the Coachmakers Arms in Long Acre in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid, but how long he kept the same what rent he paid or when quitted the said house she this Examinant can't tell, that he hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes since to this Examinant's knowledge, that she has one child by her said husband living to wit Ann aged three years the first Day of January next in the workhouse aforesaid, and that she is now pregnant. Sworn the 30th Day of November 1751 before Benjamin Cox.
