Examination Text | Christopher Meer aged 60 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of Kingston upon Thames in the County of Surry upon his oath saith he is a Taylor by trade and lived in and rented an house in that part of Russell Street which is in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of one year and nine months at the yearly rent of 12 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about 16 years ago and hath not rented 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since, that he was married to his present wife Ann at the ffleet 30 years ago. Sworn the eighth day of September 1753 before J. Fielding. |
