Examination TextAnn Boyle aged Seventy two years now in the Workhouse of St Martin in the Fields, on her Oath saith that she never was married , except to Lancelot Clarke after the Manner of the Church of Rome in the Chaple belonging to the Sardinian Ambassador Duke Street, near Lincoln's Inn fields. That after his Death, she having children; hired herself to Mr Baldwin a Tavern Keeper in the Strand, the Corner of little Bedford Street known by the Sign of the Lebeck Head, for fifteen Months all under one hiring at the yearly Wages of five pounds per Annum quitted the Same about twenty years ago , that she has not kept House, rented a Tenement of Ten pounds by the year, paid any Parish Taxes, nor have been a yearly hired Seven in any one place for twelve Months together since.
