Examination TextElizabeth Murray aged about 87 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St Luke in the County of Middlesex upon her oath saith that she is the widow of Robert Murray (who died about 10 years ago) to whom she was married at the ffleet about 50 years ago, that he was a Peruke Maker by trade and lived in and rented an house in Church Lane (now a Linnen Draper's against Mr Fryer's) in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of five years at the yearly rent of 28 pounds besides taxes, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes afterwards, nor hath she this Examinant since the death of her said husband. Taken in the workhouse the eighth day of April 1754.
