Examination Text | Ann Finch aged 65 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the wife of Robert Finch (gone from her) to whom she was married at [blank] about [blank] years ago, that he is a Chimney Sweeper by trade and served seven years apprenticeship to Charles Ray a a Chimney Sweeper in Cross Lane in Long Acre in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid, that he never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant since. Taken in the workhouse of 26th Day of January 1757. |
