| Examination Text | Mary Abbott aged 60 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St. Paul Shadwell in the County of Middlesex upon her oath saith that she is the widow of Charles Abbott (who died about 20 years ago) to whom she was married at the Fleet about 30 years ago, that he served years apprenticeship to John Craddock a Wheelwright in Harts Horn Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid which expired about 32 years ago, that he never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant afterwards, nor hath she this Examinant since the death of her said husband. Taken in the workhouse the 14th Day of April 1760. |
