Examination TextPeteshey Morris aged 56 years lodging at Mr Stocker's in Off Alley in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she was never was married, that she was bound an apprentice by an indenture for five years to Mrs Sarah Austin a Gloveress in Rein Deer Court in the Strand in the Parish aforesaid and there served all the said time out which expired about 35 years ago, that she never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since, that her father John Morris was a Waterman and lived in and rented an house the corner of Whitcombe Court in Oxendon Street for the space of several years at the yearly rent of 35 pounds besides taxes, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes after he quitted the aforesaid house. Sworn the first Day of February 1765 before Benjamin Cox.
