Examination Text | Mary Moore aged 29 years and lodging at the sign of the Sun the corner of Broad Court in Long Acre in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of George Moore (who died about one year and a quarter ago) to whom she was married at the Parish Church of St Giles in the Fields in the County of Middlesex the 17th Day of March which was in the year of our Lord 1757, that her said husband hath informed this Examinant that he lived in and rented an house in Phenix Alley in Long Acre in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields at the yearly rent of 10 pounds besides taxes for the space of 12 months, that he never kept house rented tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes after he quitted the aforesaid house in Phenix Alley to this Examinant's knowledge, nor hath she this Examinant since the death of her said husband, that she hath one child living by her said husband to wit Mary aged one year now with this Examinant.
