Examination TextAnn English aged 27 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St. James Clerkenwell in the County of Middlesex upon her oath saith that she is the wife of Ralph English (gone from her) to whom she was married at the old Church at Plymouth [blank] years ago, that her said husband is a Coach Wheelwright by trade, that her said husband hath informed this Examinant that he was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to [blank] a Coach Wheelwright in [blank] in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid and there served all his said time out which expired [blank] years ago, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since, that she hath two children by her said husband to wit Sarah aged two years and upwards and William aged five months both now with this Examinant. Taken in the workhouse the 26th March 1767.
