Examination TextDorothy Willmott aged 60 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the precinct of White Fryers London upon her oath saith that she is the wife of John Willmott (gone as a soldier in the East India Company service) to whom she was married at the Fleet about 24 years, that this Examinant hath been informed by her said husband that he was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to William Barber a Mathematical Instrument Maker next the sign of the Old Swan in that part of Exeter Street which is in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid and there served all his said time out which expired about 34 years ago, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any pay parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the 22nd Day of January 1765 before Benjamin Cox.
