| Examination Text | Mary Jones aged 46 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mrs. Barnesby a Fruiterer in Church Court in the Parish aforesaid for the space of two years at the yearly wages of 4 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about six years ago, that she never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Taken in the workhouse the fifth day of December 1766. |
