Examination TextJohn Budd aged 49 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed as a vagrant from the Parish of St. Mary Newington in the County of Surry, upon his oath saith that he never was bound an apprentice, that while single and unmarried he was a yearly hired servant to Mr Williams a Poulterer opposite Bedfordbury in that part of Chandos Street which is in the said Parish St Martin in the Fields for the space of two years at the yearly wages of 40 shillings diet and lodging, quitted the same about 30 years ago, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the 26th Day of February 1766 before Peter Planck.
