| Examination Text | Mary Mitchell aged 17 years and upwards in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married nor bound an apprentice, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mr Gibson a Taylor in New Round Court in the Parish aforesaid for the space of two years at the year at the yearly wages of 5 pounds diet and lodging, that she never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since she quitted the said Mr Gibson's service. Taken in the workhouse the eighth day of February 1768. |
