| Examination Text | Rebecca Amsbury aged 23 Years upon his Oath saith that she was never Married that she had served from the 19th Day of January 1790 under a Yearly hiring with Mr Daniel Prendergast in Little Court Castle Street in the Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields at ffive Guineas by the Year Wages diet and lodging and still continues in the same Service. And this Examined upon her voluntary Oath further saith that she is no great with Child or are Children which is or are likely to be Born a Bastard.Bastards and to become chargeable to the said Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields and that John Togwell who Lodges at her said Master in Little Court had several Times carnal Knowledge of her Body and at one of which Times did beget her with the Child or Children she now goeth with & is Pregnant of & that he the said John Togwell is the true and only ffather thereof and Man else. Sworn this 5th day of March 1793 before me John Collick Rebecca Armstrong . quitted of Place May 3/93 |
