Examination TextSarah Dovey aged 18 Years upon her Oath saith that she was never Married bound Apprentice , being a Yearly hired Seventh in any place for Twelve Months not done any Act to gain a Settlement in her own right that she is the legitimate issue of Thomas Dovey Deceased by Sarah his Wife that her said ffather was aSeal worker by Trade and live in & rented Apartments unfurnished to wit Two Rooms upon second ffloor & Garrett in the House of Mr Thomas Parkes No 9 in King Street Drury Lane in the Parish of Saint Giles in the Fields in the County of Middlesex for the space of ffour Years at the Yearly Rent of Ten Pounds & died on the1st Day of March 1789 in the occupation of the same since which her said Mother had done act to gain a subsequent Settlement. And this Examinant further saith that she was on the 19th Day of January last delivered in the House of Mr Thomas Brown a Broker in Church Lane in the Parish of St Martin in theffields of a Male Bastard Child baptised Peter yet living & become chargeable to the Parish of St Martin in the ffields & that Peter Burn Enlisted for a Soldier did beget of her Body the said Male Bastard Child Buckley is to be phoned or are held of she knoweth not.
