Examination TextJohn Boath aged about 44 years upon his oath saith that he is a Cabinet Maker by trade and hath lived in and rented an house in Turn Style Alley in Drury Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of four years and upwards at the yearly rent of 14 pounds besides taxes, and yet continues in the said house, that he was married his present wife Mary Jane at May Fair Chapel about 16 years ago by whom he hath five children living to wit Margaret aged about nine years, Mary aged about seven years, John aged about four years, James aged about three years and one other boy (not yet christened) aged five weeks all now with this Examinant. Sworn the 20th Day of January 1766 before Thomas Balack. [In a different hand:] Removed from St. Mary le Strand September 30/95 with Hannah present wife to whom he was married at St Clement Danes May 2/79. T.L..
