Examination TextChristopher Hurtzeler aged 31 years and upwards passed from the Parish St Mary at Lambeth in the County of Surry to the Parish of St Martin in the Fields within the liberty of Westminster upon his oath saith that he never was bound an apprentice, that while single and unmarried he was a yearly hired servant to Mrs Sarah Roberts a Pawn Broker in that part of Castle Street near Newport Street which is in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of four years at the yearly wages of 20 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about 11 years ago, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since, that he was married to his present wife Elizabeth at the Parish Church of St Giles in the Fields in the County of Middlesex the seventh Day of August which was in the year 1757 by whom he hath four children living to wit Elizabeth aged nine years and upwards, Mary aged seven years and upwards, Rotolph aged four years and upwards, and Ann aged two years and upwards all now with this Examinant. Sworn the 18th day of January 1768 before Peter Planck.
