Examination TextJohn Cooper aged 22 years and upwards in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St Andrew Holborn above the Bars in the County of Middlesex upon his oath saith that he never was married nor bound an apprentice, that he was a yearly hired servant to Mr Henry Vaughan, a Victualler at the sign of the Queens Head in Dukes Court in Drury Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of four years and an half at the yearly wages of 40 shillings the first year, 3 pounds for the second year, 4 pounds for the third year, 6 pounds for the fourth year diet and lodging, quitted the same 11 years ago, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the 15th Day of January 1768 before Peter Planck.
