Examination Text | Elizabeth hockey aged 16 years, destitute of lodging upon her oath saith that she never was married bound an apprentice kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, that her Father William hockey is a Sawyer by trade and lived in and rented an house in Mercers Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of [7] years at the yearly rent of 10 pounds besides taxes, as she this Examinant hath been informed, that her father never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes after he quitted the said house to this Examinant's knowledge.
