| Examination Text | Christina Adamson aged 56 years and lodging at Mr Evetts in Cecil Court in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of George Adamson (who died seven weeks ago) to whom she was married at Edinburgh about nine years ago, that her said husband was a Taylor by trade and lived in and rented an house the west side of Villers Street in the Parish aforesaid for the space of 14 years at the yearly rent of 30 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same three years ago, that her husband never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since. Sworn the eighth day of April 1771 before Peter Planck. |
