Examination TextSarah Flendell aged 63 years lodging in Off Alley in the Parish St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of Stephen Flendell (who died 27 years ago next June) to whom she was married at the ffleet near 40 years ago, that her said husband served seven years apprenticeship to Mr Gardiner a Peruke Maker in Durham Yard in the Parish aforesaid, that her husband never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together after the expiration of his said apprenticeship, that she this Examinant hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since the death of her said husband. Sworn the 12th Day of March 1771 before Peter Planck.
