Examination Text | Mary Bennerman aged about 16 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married bound an apprentice kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, that her father [blank] Bennerman (who died when she this Examinant was young) was a Taylor by trade, and as she hath been informed lived in and rented an house in the Parish aforesaid, but how long he kept the said house what rent he paid the same or when quitted it she cannot tell, that her father never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes elsewhere to this Examinant's knowledge. Taken in the workhouse the seventh Day of March 1771. |
