Examination Text | Catherine Wilkins lodging with Mr Prat at a Chandler's shop in that part of Castle Street which is in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mr Scatchard a Poulterer in Castle Court in the Strand in the Parish aforesaid for the space of one year and an half all under one hiring at the yearly wages of 5 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about nine years ago, that she hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since, that she is about 60 years of age. Sworn the eighth day of February 1773 before Thomas Kynaston. |
