Examination Text | Sarah Day aged 23 years passed as a vagrant from the Parish of St. Mary Woolworth London to the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married nor bound an apprentice, that she was a yearly hired servant to Messrs. Ray and Chambers Sadlers near Cross Lane in Long Acre in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of one year one months and two weeks all under one hiring at the yearly wages of 5 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about five years ago, that she hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the 10th day of February 1783 before William Hyde. |
