Examination Text | Ann Burbridge aged 40 years passed as a vagrant from the Parish of St. Paul Covent Garden within the liberty of Westminster to the Parish of St Martin in the Fields within the said liberty upon her oath saith that she is the widow of William Burbridge who died about eight years ago, that she since the death of her said husband having no child living was a yearly hired servant to Henry Bridges in that part of Chandos Street which is in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of one year and an half all under one hiring at the yearly wages of 7 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about six years ago, that she hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since.
