Examination TextThe Examination of Hannah Dean removed by an order of two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace from the Parish of St Giles in the Fields in the County of Middlesex to the Parish of St Martin in the Fields in the same county taken this 15th Day of February in the year of our Lord 1782. This Examinant on her oath saith that she is about 40 years of age, that she never was married bound an apprentice kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, that her father James Dean was a Gun Smith and lived in and rented an house in St Martin's Lane below the Church in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of several years at the yearly rent of 10 pounds and upwards besides taxes, quitted the same about 50 years ago as she this Examinant hath been informed and verily believes to be true, that her father never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes afterwards to this Examinant's knowledge.
