Examination Text | Lucy Moody aged 58 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of Felix Moody (who died about nine years ago) to whom she was married in Ireland the first Day of June in the year 1745, that her said husband was a Taylor by trade and rented an apartment unfurnished at the house of Mr Moore in Hemmings Row in the Parish aforesaid for the space of one year and 11 months at the yearly rent of 15 pounds and there died, that she this Examinant hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since the death of her said husband. Sworn the 11th Day of February 1782 before William Hyde. |
