Examination TextLucy Sapsard aged 27 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields removed by an order of session from the Parish of St. George Hanover Square upon her oath saith that she never was married, that she was yearly hired servant to Mr Bird in Pordagal Street [sic] in the Parish of St Clement Danes within the liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex for the space of two years all under one hiring at the yearly wages of 5 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about four years ago, that she never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds a year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since, that she hath one child to wit Mary aged one year now with this examinant for nurture. Sworn the 29th day of December 1777 before J. Hale, Thomas Bullard.
