Examination TextElizabeth Jones aged 29 years the 31st of October next destitute of lodging upon her oath saith that she never was married, bound an apprentice kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, that her father Andrew Jones (who died about 10 years ago) was a Victualler and lived in and rented a house known by the sign of the Chequers in Pump Court in White Hart Yard in Drury Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of three years at the yearly rent of 15 pounds besides taxes, that her father quitted the same house about [blank] years ago, that her father never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes after he quitted the aforesaid house to this Examinants knowledge. Sworn the 26th Day of September 1777 before J. Hale. See her Mother's Exam. Liber 66 Page 75.
