Examination TextThe Examination of Ann Seagrave in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields taken this first Day of January 1777. This Examinant on her oath saith that she is 30 years of age, that she never was married, that she was on the seventh Day of December which was in the year 1769 delivered at the house of Griggs a Victualler at the sign of the Barley Mow in Grays Inn Lane in that part of the Parish of St Andrew Holborn which lies above the Bars in the County of Middlesex of a female bastard child (since christened Mary) yet living and is become chargeable to the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields. Sworn the day and year first above written before John Hale, John Goodchild.
