Examination TextThe Examination of Elizabeth Beard removed by an Order of Removal from the Parish of Saint Sepulchre in the City of London to the parish of St Martin in the Fields within the Liberty of Wetsmr. taken this Ninth Day of January in the Year 1783. This Examinant on her Oath saith That she is 46 years of age and upwards, That she is the Wife of James Beard (gone to Sea) to whom she was married at the parish Church of Saint Sepulchre aforesaid the Sixteenth Day of August in the year 1761, That her said Husband served seven years apprenticeship to Richard Hind a Waterman who lodged in Hungerford Market in the said parish of St Martin in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields as he her said husband hath Informed this Examinant, That her said husband never kept house rented a tenement of ten pounds by the year paid any Parish taxes nor been a yearly hired Servant in any one place for twelve months together since the Expiration of his said Apprenticeship to this Examinant's knowledge.
