Examination TextJane Wharton aged about thirty years removed from the parish of Hanslop in the County of Bucks (in the workhouse) Saith she is the wife of William Wharton who went away and left her this Examinant at Hanslop aforesaid about ten weeks ago that she was marryed to him at Hanslop Church almost a year since and hath one Child by him to wit Elizabeth about eight weeks old born at hamslop aforesaid Saith that she heard that her said Husband was a yearly hired Servant to Edward Wharton Esquire who lodged at Mr Price's a Druggist in the Haymarket in the Parish of St Martin in the ffields whom he served a year and some odd Days had four pounds by the year Wages Diet and Lodging and was discharged from that Service in his aforesaid Lodging two years before she marryed him but did not live a twelvemonth in any Service afterwards nor ever kept house rented ten pounds by the year or paid any parish Taxes Sworn
