| Examination Text | The Examination of Ann Fabey Singlewoman taken on Oath this 17th Day of January 1733 Who on her Oath saith that she is about Seventeen years of Age and that she was on the Sixteenth Day of December last past delivered of a ffemale Bastard Child (since Christened Elizabeth) in the workhouse of and in the parish of Saint Martin in the ffields And she further on her Voluntary Oath Saith that one Patrick Malloy now or lately a ffootman to one Mr Dossey who lodgeth when in Town in Saint Martin Street in the parish of Saint Martin in the ffields had sometime on or about the latter End of April or the Beginning of May last past the Carnal Knowledge of her Body on the ffloor on the Ground Room of the House at one Mr Batson in little Saint Martin Street and never before or Since And she also on her Oath Saith that he the said Patrick Malloy did beget on her Body the said ffemale Bastard Child And that he is the true and only ffather thereof and no Man else Sworn the 17th Day of January 1733 before us Thomas Deveil Jas Fraser Ann Fabey |
