Examination Text | Mary Cater aged about 18 years in the workhouse Saith she was never married or an Apprentice that her ffather kept the George and Punch Bowl Ale House in Drury Lane in this Parish where she was born that he paid 26£ Pr Ann Rent and all Taxes in which House her ffather died about 5 years agoe that she was a yearly hired servant to one Mrs Hitcham who keeps a Herb Shop behind the Royal Exchange in Bartholomew Lane had 3£ Pr Ann Wages Diet and Lodging but does not remember whether she served her Mistress there a whole year saith she never kept House rented 10£ Pr Ann or was a year in any service afterwards |
